Birthday Presents Received

Take a look at one of my birthday presents. This chair is what my youngest daugher, Kim, bought me. I was excited because I did not even have to change the material on the seat since it fits perfectly into my jungle bedroom.

Also, look at my chest of drawers I bought myself. I had been looking for a chest of drawers for the longest to replace the one I had. I find this gem at a store in Marlow called Ooh La La. The have the greatest pieces of furniture and knick knacks. I just happened to go in on one of my day's off and found this jewel. I knew right away this was the one. Only paid $91.00 for it and, again, I did not have to do anything with it. What a deal for me!!

And last but not least my oldest daughter, Misty and her family, got me this wonderful lamp I needed for my bedroom. She only paid $10.00 for it at Kirklands. Course she had an awesome coupon which made it so cheap. Just love bargain presents!! That way it's frugal for everyone!
Of course the rest of my family did not forget me. My sister and her family bought me something I had been wanting from Kenneth Copeland Ministries. What a wonderful surprise! Plus, I did not have to go buy it!! YEA!! My Mom gave me $15.00. YEA!!
So, all in all it was one of the best b'day's I have had in a long time. Only thing missing was my two son-in-laws and my youngest daughter, Kim, and my granddaughter, Abby! :( Ah, well, maybe next year we can all be together for my b'day. And yes, we must not forget it is also my Mom's b'day and Kimberly's b'day. We all celebrate together at my sister's house. These past three years we have not had Kimberly with us. We all missed her terribly!! Just a little less fun when the whole family is not there!
Well, gotta end my post. All have a wonderfully blessed day!!

End Of A Wonderful Birthday

Ah, what an awesome birthday I have had. I go to church and get a present!! What a deal. It was a black purse with a cross on it. Just what I've been wanting!! Given to me by a very wonderful friend. The only downside to the whole day I had to go into work and prepare charts for tomorrow's clinic. Oh well, guess I can't complain about o/t hours on my paycheck. Plus the only other thing was my older daughter, Misty and my grandson, Chase, had to leave to go back home. :( Just wish they all lived closer than they do, but that's o.k. they're only 3 hours away!! I guess I could say that's much better than a 3 hour non-stop flight to Florida to see my other daughter and her family, but the exciting thing about that is "Hey, I get to go somewhere wonderful for vacation." I'm hoping to do that next summer just to spend time with them and to see other things around Florida that I've always wanted to see. Just wish they were a tad bit closer than a 3 hour flight. As parents we do have to let our children move to the places they think they need to be. Sometimes it doesn't always jive with what we want, but then what we did in our own life didn't always jive with our parents!! Ah, letting our little chick-a-dees go is sometimes very hard to do, but that's just part of being a parent.

I'm liking this blogging thing!! Kinda like a diary where I can put down my feelings or show the wonderful things I'm doing to my home or just let those who follow know a little more about me. Or the best part is posting pictures of the projects I have completed. These are soon to follow!!

Birthday Weekend Night Going to School Play

Tonight I went with my family, sister, brother and nieces included, to see a school play. It was Neil Simon's "God's Favorite" taken from the book of Job in the Bible. We all really enjoyed it. It was about a wealthy man, just like Job, who satan puts to the test to see if he would renounce God, but just like in the book Job he refuses despite losing everything. Most people think it was God doing the testing, but if they will take a good look and read slowing and carefully the first two chapters of Job you will see it was not God but satan who did all the destroying. God had lifted His hand from Job due to one thing. Job had stated "The thing I feared has come upon me." Fear allowed the entrance for satan to come in and destroy and, yes, I know God did allow the hedge to be removed from about Job, but in the end it was Job's own fear that opened the door. OK enough preaching! We all throughly enjoyed the play and had a great laugh at how Mr Simon wrote the play! Only thing is he left it with people thinking God did the testing! Ah, well some would say that is a theological discussion we would be better off to agree to disagree on .

When we came out of the play the wind had picked up and the temperature had dropped. We rushed home and popped some popcorn and watched X Men 2. Ah, what a wonderful end to a great Saturday with my daughter and grandson. It's 12:10 and I guess I really should stop and get some sleep so I will get up and feel refreshed for church tomorrow.

Ciao everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful night's rest and a great day tomorrow.

Birthday Weekend

What a glorious Fall day in wonderful Oklahoma. Couldn't ask for a better weekend to spend with the majority of my family. This is the birthday weekend for my Mom, daughter and myself. We were all born one to two days apart. My daughter, Kim, was on the 7th, my Mom on the 9th and me on the 11th. We usually have a birthday celebration at my sister's house and this year was no exception. The only thing missing was my two son-in-law's, my youngest daughter and my granddaughter. It would have been a completely perfect birthday weekend if they could have been here with us, but I truly have been enjoying it with my older daughter Misty and my grandson Chase. Nothing like having family come home and spending time together!
